The report contains the following information:

• Compensation data for 49 research positions
• Compensation data from over 50 organizations

The survey looks at the following compensation elements:

• Base Salary
• Bonus payouts
• Total Cash Compensation (Base Salary plus Bonus)

The compensation data is reported as follows:

• Average, weighted average, 25^th/ 50^th/ 75th percentiles
• Organization type: Hospital/Health System, University, All Organizations
• Organization location: Midwest, Northeast, Southeast, Southeast/West
• Organization size (# of FTE): Less than 8,000, 8,000 to 19,999, More than 20,000
• Gross revenue: Up to $2 Billion, $2 to $6 Billion, Over $6 Billion
